Waterfront Partnership partners with Second Chance to reduce waste, create jobs

(May 27, 2020) – Earlier this morning, Waterfront Partnership and Whiting-Turner welcomed Second Chance to the Rash Field construction site. Second Chance, a Baltimore city nonprofit social enterprise, salvages building materials to resell in its Russell Street warehouse. It uses the proceeds from those sales to create jobs for local residents with barriers to employment.

Second Chance salvaged cobblestones, bathroom sinks, benches and other materials from the park, diverting them from the landfill. Stop by the Second Chance warehouse in the coming weeks to support their mission and bring a piece of Rash Field into your home!
