The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that road work will soon begin along a portion of Wolfe Street in Fell’s Point.
On or about Monday, August 31, 2020 crews will begin regrouting a portion of the cobblestone roadway along Wolfe Street between Thames and S. Fell Streets. Crews will be working in the roadway daily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (times approximate) weather permitting. Alternating two-way traffic will be maintained through the work zone each day and parking restrictions may be implemented in this area.
Once the regrouting work is completed, a full closure of Wolfe Street will be implemented between Thames and S. Fell Streets for roadway repair work which will occur in two phases:
- On or about Tuesday, September 8, 2020 the southern portion of the block will be closed to all traffic from 918 Wolfe Street to the intersection of S. Fells Street.
- On or about Monday, September 28, 2020 the northern portion of the block will be closed to all traffic from 918 Wolfe Street to the intersection of Thames Street.
Detours and parking restrictions will be in effect as repair work progresses. This portion of Wolfe Street is expected to remain closed for approximately 8 weeks, weather permitting.
Variable message signs will be deployed to alert motorists of the road work. Motorists should pay close attention to posted parking restrictions in this area and should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns.
