Native America's Protectors

Keith Colston

Experience the beauty of Baltimore's Native American culture through a visual, musical, and spiritual celebration with Keith Colston of Native America's Protectors, LLC for the third Baltimore by Baltimore (BxB) Music & Makers Festival on Saturday, August 6th.

Waterfront Partnership welcomes this month's featured producer, Keith Colston of Native America's Protectors to highlight the vibrant colors and energetic movements of our city's native people for the third Baltimore by Baltimore (BxB) festival at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater on Saturday, August 6th from 12 - 8pm.

Keith Colston of the Tuscarora and Lumbee tribes is a cultural consultant who initiates and supports a wide range of activities that promote the welfare of Indian people and further the understanding of American Indian history and culture.

Keith supervises programs and serves as a visual performance artist performing with such groups as Red Crooked Sky, Native Pride, and his own Native America's Protectors. Native America's Protectors, LLC partners with Native American organizations and non-native entities to promote educational events, cultural workshops, and visual presentations, allowing the non-native to better understand what culture means to them as a people.

"The opportunity Waterfront Partnership has provided is historic. To highlight the cultural footprint of Native Americans in Baltimore, as well as to bring forth the common characteristics we share with other ethnicities in the city, is priceless. We are not just people of color… we are people of culture!"
