Holiday Pop Ups You Have to Visit in Baltimore

Twinkling lights, sweet delights, and all things merry and bright- the holiday season has arrived in Baltimore, and the waterfront is full of festive fun!

Here is a roundup of some of the seasonal attractions popping up along the waterfront. Grab your camera and a friend, and get ready for some holiday magic!

The Inner Harbor Ice Rink is open 7 days a week through January 15th for skaters of all ages and experience levels to enjoy. The rink’s location at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater gives skaters picturesque harbor views as well as easy access to other waterfront attractions. Glide across the ice while gazing across the water or at the city lights surrounding you. Visitors can take advantage of Weekday Cheap Skate packages Monday-Thursday. Check out our events calendar for special events at the rink, including a few upcoming visits from Santa!

After getting your skate on, walk on over to the Christmas Village at West Shore Park! This authentic German Christmas market has been a staple of Baltimore’s holiday season for the past 10 years. The village transforms West Shore Park into a winter wonderland of festive fun, complete with a carousel and Ferris Wheel, tons of local vendors in an indoor and outdoor marketplace, and delicious food and drink. Visit their website to find out about all the special events happening and be sure to visit before they close for the season on December 24.

Since shopping for gifts is always a part of the seasonal fun, check out the holiday pop ups at the Inner Harbor as well! Made in Baltimore has two temporary stores on the waterfront this season, where you can support local vendors and find the perfect unique presents for everyone on your list. There is the Made in Baltimore Holiday Pop Up at 301 Light St, open Wednesday-Sunday from 11am-7pm; and the Home Run Accelerator Store at Rash Field, open Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm. Visit the MIB website to check out the vendors!

Bonus: Be sure to stop and take photos at the Christmas Tree while you’re at Rash Field!

Top of the World, the rooftop observatory at the World Trade Center, is a favorite among tourists vying for the best views of the city- and now it will be added to your holiday attractions list, too! Holidays in the City is a holiday-themed train garden open in the observation level. Explore modern and vintage modern trains with artistic and referential designs! This is a great stop on a family outing, with a holiday craft corner where kids can get creative and make something festive of their own.

Across the street from the waterfront, the Inner Harbor’s Power Plant Live is also host to a festive attraction- Miracle Pop Up Bar! Complete with themed cocktails and menu items, this immersive experience is perfect for a night out on the town. Check out their instagram to see some of the special offerings!

Fells Point always comes to life in the winter, and there are lots of decorated bars and sights to see- but Slainte should be at the top of your list! The pub fully transforms into a dazzling display of holiday cheer, with a magical nightly feature- every evening at 7pm, it’s snowing outside the bar! Experience a magical snowfall outside and then head on in to warm up in the bright, colorful indoors.

Bonus: stop at Broadway Square to see the Fells Point Christmas tree!
