Little Amal Visits the Inner Harbor

We were honored to welcome Little Amal to Baltimore last month!
Little Amal, a 12-foot puppet of a 10 year old Syrian refugee, is the symbol of activist movement The Walk. She has become a symbol of human rights and compassion as she travels to and is welcomed by cities across the globe.
Since The Walk began in July 2021, Little Amal has travelled over 6,000 miles to 97 towns and cities in 15 countries and been welcomed by more than a million people on the street. We are incredibly grateful to have been a part of her warm welcome to Baltimore during her U.S. tour.

We walked with Amal across the Inner Harbor, starting at Rash Field and ending at the National Aquarium. Along the way, we were joined by a local marching band, skateboarders, and community members who came out to show their support.

The Charmery joined us along our journey at the Amphitheater, where they gave free ice cream to participants and helped us present Amal with her own giant ice cream cone! As a true Baltimore welcome, the cone was lemon-stick flavored.

Before images of the ice cream cone- a big thank you to everyone who helped us work on it!
