Join Waterfront Partnership on October 10th at Brown Advisory for a press conference where we will release the 2025 Healthy Harbor Report Card, address recent fish kills, and chart the future of swimming events in the harbor.
15 years ago, Waterfront Partnership set the goal of creating a swimmable and fishable Baltimore Harbor. That same year, we commissioned a State of the Harbor report from the University of Maryland’s internationally recognized Center for Environmental Science. The report assessed both the ecosystem health (for wildlife) and the human health (for safe recreation) of the Harbor. Ecosystem health received a D and human health received an F. Clearly we had a lot of work to do.
For this, our 15th report card, we are taking a detailed look back at 15 years of water quality data in the Baltimore Harbor - the good, the bad, and the interesting.
The event is free to all, but please pre-register. We hope to see you there!
