Workshop #3: World Peace Indigo Wish Workshop

Join Rosa Chang, a Baltimore artist and author of My Indigo World, for a special two-hour workshop celebrating indigo dyeing as a symbol of unity and peace. This hands-on event offers participants the opportunity to create beautiful indigo-dyed ribbons using traditional Korean techniques, while learning about the cultural significance of indigo across the world.

Artist Talk & Book Reading 12-1pm:  Rosa will also share insights from her book My Indigo World, providing context and inspiration behind the workshop's themes.

Rosa Chang is a multidisciplinary artist who specializes in visual and fiber arts. Through her work, she explores the sustainable relationship between humans and nature, incorporating traditional Korean and Asian indigo dyeing techniques as a form of cultural exchange. Rosa is also the author of the acclaimed picture book My Indigo World – A True Story of the Color Blue, which has received recognition as a 2023 New York Public Library Best Book and a 2024 NSTA-CBC Outstanding Science Trade Book.
