Celebrating 11 Years of Mr. Trash Wheel!

We partied it up at Public Works Experience to celebrate Mr. Trash Wheel’s 11th Earth Day Birthday! With upcycled art projects, music, dancing, and all things trashtasticly fun, the day was full of good times and great vibes.

Trash Wheel fans posed with the signature Mr. Trash Wheel googly eyes and dressed in their finest Mr. Trash Wheel Family attire!

With help from Alex of Studio Cultivated, fans turned old plastic bottles into upcycled planters, decorated and filled with plants like rosemary and mint. Bridget from Waterfront Partnership led tiny dumpster making, folding and decorating miniature dumpsters made of cardboard. The craft tables were bustling with creative energy during this event!

Bryan Robinson of Black Genius Art Show led everyone our first ever mural painting on Mr. Trash Wheel’s dumpster! With a little teamwork and artistic inspiration, our awesome fans created a colorful mural that will brighten up Mr. Trash Wheel’s daily trash collection!

The Lost Pythons- a band named after the beer named after the snake found on Mr. Trash Wheel- performed the first ever Tiny Dumpster Concert! And fans jammed to tunes by DJ Eddible all afternoon.

As always, the grand finale of the event was carrying Mr. Trash Wheel’s birthday cake (made of trash!) to be delivered directly to him and singing Happy Birthday! Onlookers watched from the side of the harbor while Mr. Trash Wheel (slowly) devoured his delicious trash-cake.
