5 Things to do This Thanksgiving Weekend in Baltimore

A Local’s Guide to Entertaining the Inlaws after Thanksgiving Dinner

Do you have family coming to town for the holiday? Show off your city while they’re here! With seasonal events and pop ups happening, there’s lots of fun to be had. Here’s our top picks for what to do on the waterfront to fight off the tryptophan.

Christmas Village

This festive pop up market officially opens for the season on Thanksgiving day! The hours are 12-5pm on Thanksgiving, and they are open normal hours the rest of the weekend (check out their hours here). This annual holiday tradition in the Inner Harbor is a great way to get in some steps, check out iconic waterfront views, and maybe even do a little early shopping.

Inner Harbor Ice Rink

The ice rink will be open 12-10pm on Thanksgiving, and it’s a great place for the whole family! Skaters of all ages and skill levels are welcome on the ice. Whether you’re working up an appetite or shaking off the post-dinner stupor, a skate is always a good idea.

Be sure to book online so you can unlock the discounted parking deal at Premium Parking Harborplace.

Made in Baltimore stores

While you’re down at the Inner Harbor, there are not one but two Made in Baltimore pop up shops to check out- the Home Run Accelerator store at Rash Field and the Holiday Pop up store at Harborplace. Take your out of town family here to show off some of Charm City’s best small businesses!

Celebrate Small Business Saturday!

Small Business Saturday is always the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and it’s a great opportunity to show off your Baltimore pride by choosing to #shopsmall!

Venture over to Harbor East for their Holiday Haul and Makers Market! In addition to deals at the surrounding businesses, there will be a special pop up market featuring local Baltimore makers and artisans.

Shop small businesses in Fells Point! The neighborhood’s businesses will be celebrating with specials and deals, including this limited edition tote bag and opportunities to win in a raffle for a shopping spree. Find your new favorite store or show your support for the ones you already love in the hyper-local concentration of Fells Point businesses!
