What’s New At Rash Field Park? February Construction Update

Weekly site photos taken from BGE Pavilion throughout January 2025

The first month of 2026 has come and gone, and we are one step closer to the grand opening of Phase 2! Throughout January we were able to make progress in the park in ways that are hard to see including pouring light pole foundations, installing underdrains, running a new water main, and beginning to install new stone walls & foundations throughout the site.

Progress was slowed during the last week of January because of the major snowstorm that hit Baltimore City. As the team works to dig out the snow, we are hoping for warmer weather ahead so that we can get back to moving dirt, mixing mortar and pouring concrete. The upcoming work includes pouring foundations and footers, and more grading work to do so that we can all start to see this park take shape as we head into spring.

Despite construction, Rash Field Phase 1 will remain open, and we will continue to host all the community events you know and love. We’re excited to see some significant changes in our weekly documentation of the site to share with the Baltimore community.
