Last Night A DJ Saved My Life: A Salute to Black Radio DJs

Troubled Tributary : Film Screening and Panel
IMET is pleased to invite you to a special film screening and panel discussion, Troubled Tributary: Maryland’s Patuxent River, taking place at IMET on February 7, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
This short documentary examines the environmental challenges facing the Patuxent River and highlights the vital role of community advocacy, science, and environmental justice in protecting Maryland’s waterways.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Fred Tutman (Patuxent Riverkeeper), Vernice Miller-Travis Miller Travis (Environmental Justice Pioneer), and Cari Harris (Founder of Greater Baltimore Climate Summit), who will share insights and engage in dialogue around environmental stewardship, people of color in the environmental justice movement, and solution driven environmental work.

Sensory Day at Maryland Science Center

2026 CIAA Education Day & Career Expo
The 2026 US Army ROTC CIAA High School Education Day will be held for City Schools and surrounding schools in MD, DC, VA, and neighboring states on Wednesday, February 25th, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will kick off with an opening session that includes tournament leadership and sponsor welcome and remarks and US Army ROTC presentation. At the conclusion of the opening program, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the various CIAA institution and vendor booths that are part of our educational fair. Admission offers and scholarships from CIAA colleges and universities will be available. For participants that arrive prior the event’s kickoff, we will have pre-program activities from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. that will include a deejay, games, giveaways, and band and cheerleader performances.
This program is free and open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and chaperones (e.g., school representatives, organization advisors/staff, parents, etc.).
2026 CIAA John B. McLendon Jr. Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
You're invited to the 2026 CIAA McLendon Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to celebrate our nine individual honorees who have exhibited the pillars of legacy, leadership, and community. We look forward to you joining us on Friday, February 27th at the Baltimore Convention Center Ballroom | 400 Level.
CIAA Fan Fest 2026
More than 150,000 people will descend on Baltimore for five action-packed days of basketball, entertainment, and networking when the nation’s oldest African American athletic conference, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, hosts its 2026 CIAA Championship Basketball Tournament. The CIAA extends the celebration beyond the courts with a two-day FREE Fan Fest. A popular site to meet and get in the spirit, Fan Fest offers music, food, dance, and socializing.

Cupid's Undie Run at The Admiral's Cup
Every February, thousands of undie runners in cities across the U.S. come together, whether it be in-person or virtually, to support those affected by NF, a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.
Cupid’s Undie Run kicks off with drinking and dancing, then we jog it out with a mile(ish) run and end it all with an epic dance party!
Liquid Courage at BMI
Liquid Courage 2026 returns to the Baltimore Museum of Industry for its highly anticipated second annual celebration. This signature event is dedicated to honoring Maryland’s rich cocktail and distilling history! Continuing to draw inspiration from the BMI’s acclaimed Neighborhood Corner Bar Exhibit, Liquid Courage 2026 is more than just a tasting event; it is a dynamic, celebratory space. Pi(e) Day
Celebrate the most mathematically delicious day of the year at the Maryland Science Center! Pi(e) Day is a celebration of the mathematical constant pi, a number used to calculate the circumference of a circle, and also a celebration of sweet and savory, circular baked treats! Circle up for a well rounded day of endless fun. All activities are included with paid admission and completely free to members or schools visiting on a field trip.
Music Under the Dome: The Rolling Stones
You can’t always get what you want—but this time, we’ve got you covered! Music Under the Dome is an immersive planetarium experience featuring in-house curated imagery set to a music playlist packed with the Rolling Stone’s iconic hits. The show is uniquely developed to compliment the soundtrack, and is only available at the Maryland Science Center.
Levity x Tape B Present: Summer Program
Two of electronic music’s most explosive forces are joining together for a massive summer amphitheater takeover across America. Florida-based bass phenomenon Tape B and Chicago-bred electronic trio Levity announce the Tape B x Levity: Summer Program Tour, a 12-city co-headline North American amphitheater run set for Summer 2026, stopping at Pier Six Pavilion on July 31!
Joe Bonamassa and Gov't Mule
Blues-rock titan Joe Bonamassa will return to big stages across America next summer with a newly announced run of U.S. amphitheater and festival dates, including a stop at Pier Six Pavilion on August 08. The run includes select co-headline performances with Gov’t Mule – the enduring, GRAMMY-nominated band led by guitar legend Warren Haynes, celebrated globally for its improvisational depth and roots-rich catalog.

King Day 2026 | The Children Shall Lead
Join the Reginald F. Lewis Museum to celebrate King Day 2026 through the eyes of youth activists from the Civil Rights Movement to present day social movements. Program activities will include provoking conversations, film screenings, musical performances and a host of family fun filled activities. These programs are inspired by Kid Zone, the museum’s newest interactive permanent exhibit solely dedicated to children and families.
Storytime & Puppet Show with Danny Joe: Me and My Teddy Bear!
Did you know that Baltimore has its very own local kids’ tv show? Join Danny Joe from the preschool streaming series, Danny Joe’s Tree House is bringing his best friend Teddy for a playdate all about self-regulation through imaginary friends! Together, we’ll sing songs, dance, and play with big thoughts, ideas and feelings.
This program is geared towards young children and their grownups. It promotes and fosters Social Emotional Learning, S.T.E.A.M. Education and Early Media Literacy.

Zebrafish Models for Biomedical and Environmental Research
Join IMET to discover how zebrafish are powering breakthroughs in human health and environmental research. On Thursday, January 15, Dr. Jim Du’s lab will share exciting findings from zebrafish models, including advances in biomedical research on skeletal and cardiac muscle diseases and new insights into health impacts of environmental thermal stress.
