The AVAM invites all furry, feathered, slithery, and scaly friends and their people, to don their best creative, cute and creepy costumes and join us for our Howl-o-Ween Pet Parade and Pet Talent Show, now moving to the Fall!

This spook-tacular fun family-friendly event is free and open to the public, whether you choose to enter the parade or just cheer from the sidelines! We will have prizes galore, which may or may not include: Best Scary Costume, Most Visionary Pet, Least Likely to Succeed as a Pet, and more! Friendly pets of ALL kinds are welcome. 

Following the Parade comes the Pet Talent [Or Not] Show! This popular event is held each year in loving memory of supreme animal lover and dear friend, Ellis Rosen.

Pet registration begins at 9:30AM. The parade kicks off at 10AM, with a talent show to follow after. Free for all!

Join us as Mr. Monopoly as he unveils the Baltimore Edition board for the first time! After the unveiling and brief remarks at 7PM, enjoy live music from Liquid A on the main stage, food and drink specials, and a host of activities. Check out Port Discovery’s newest exhibit expansions since the SkyClimber will open to the public- a two for one grand opening! Now introducing Galactic Builders, their newest space themed STEAM exhibit, and SKIES, sky themed sensory friendly exhibit!

This new exhibition introduces young visitors to basic concepts in engineering and physics with the background of a creative, space themed landscape.

With Galactic Builders we’ll be debuting SKIES – a fully immersive, low sensory, calming exhibit themed on the daily sky rotation between the sunrise and sunset, and the curiosity invoked by the planet’s ever-shifting cloudscape.

Join us for the AVAM for their annual free public program exploring social justice and our creative superpowers as it returns with a timely conversation on immigration and belonging.

Hosted by AVAM and Art and Remembrance, "Creating Art, Creating Change: Threads of Belonging and Community" will feature a panel of artists and changemakers alike, showcase artwork depicting the immigrant experience, and offer an interactive workshop.
