Get Wild in the City!

Wildlife Gardening 2025 Workshops Starting Now!

Our Wildlife Gardening program maintains harbor habitats to attract wildlife, improve air and water quality, reduce flood risk, promote biodiversity, and mitigate climate change with the help of community, youth, and corporate volunteers.

What is Wildlife Gardening?

Wildlife Gardening creates sustainable environments for surrounding creatures, helps fight climate change, and promotes biodiversity along the Waterfront. You can make a positive impact on our harbor ecosystems and learn from experts how to improve your garden at home!

Our Corporate Volunteering Program

Waterfront Partnership truly values healthy ecosystems. We tend to multiple public parks and urban green spaces in four waterfront districts from the Inner Harbor to Fells Point. But we don’t do it alone. It takes a lot of connection and communication with a wide variety of governmental and private organizations.

Our Wildlife Gardening Corporate Volunteer Program is essential in helping to keep these gardens and green spaces alive and flourishing. Waterfront Partnership works closely with multiple corporate partners to plant, water and weed throughout our districts. And not only do they tend to our land-based gardens, our corporate volunteers are also the backbone of our oyster gardening program. Interested in oyster gardening but not part of a corporation? You can volunteer for public oyster gardening too!
