What’s New At Rash Field Park? December Construction Update

Weekly site photos taken from BGE Pavilion throughout November 2025

As we enter the winter season we continue to move right along with Phase 2 of Rash Field, with work primarily remaining underground. But, you can start to notice the park begin to take shape, with a lot of the primary grading nearing completion. During the last month we have removed and stored Promenade bricks for future use, installed electrical conduits and main waterlines, and have begun installing the underdrainage of the main open field.

The continued work underground has set the foundation for exciting, more visible progress to occur above ground over the next few months leading up to the park opening next summer. Throughout the winter and into the spring you will begin to see more concrete progress with the installation of shade structures and other project elements.

As with any construction project, we faced budget constraints at the outset, forcing us to temporarily remove or modify materials to stay within the budget, but are happy to announce that, thanks to the support of Mayor Brandon Scott, the Department of Recreation and Parks, and the great work of our construction team at Plano-Coudon, we are working to bring back some project items that were early budget casualties. The additional funding will allow us to bring more tangible, active nature, and play features to the park that was previously put on pause to fund underground work.

Despite construction, Rash Field Phase 1 will remain open, and we will continue to host all the community events you know and love. We’re excited to see some significant changes in our weekly documentation of the site to share with the Baltimore community.
