What’s New At Rash Field Park? May Construction Update

Weekly site photos taken from BGE Pavilion throughout April 2026

Look at all that progress! Phase 2 is really starting to look like a park rather than a construction site.

If you take a peek at the site from Federal Hill Park or the BGE Overlook in Phase 1, you will see new paved walking paths, stone seating benches, new shade structures, lots of new soil, and even some trees. Within one month, there has been dramatic changes in the look of the park as you can see in the progress pictures below.

As the project continues to move ahead you can expect to see significant changes in the recreation and garden zones throughout the month of May. The Plano-Coudon team will be pouring foundations for the beach and outdoor fitness areas, and laying the groundwork for the rock crevice gardens along Key Highway. All these additions will really make the vision for the park come to life over the next few months.

Despite construction, Rash Field Phase 1 will remain open, and we will continue to host all the community events you know and love. We’re excited to see some significant changes in our weekly documentation of the site to share with the Baltimore community. Phase 2 is expected to be ready for outdoor fun and programming by the end of summer of 2026.
