A Can’t Miss Event: SAIL250® Maryland
This year, international tall ships, military ships, and aircraft will gather in Baltimore to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America at SAIL250® Maryland & Airshow Baltimore presented by Northrop Grumman on June 24-30, 2026. Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy this week-long celebration, complete with ship tours, festivals, flyovers, and educational activities!
What is SAIL250® Maryland?
Sail250 Maryland and Airshow Baltimore, presented by Northrop Grumman and produced by Living Classrooms, is a historic gathering of international tall ships, military ships, and aircraft to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America. Maryland and Baltimore are part of a five-city national event, which also includes the ports of New Orleans, Norfolk, New York, and Boston, and allows for people from all over the world to join together for an unforgettable celebration.
The Maryland event will feature the return of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron and other aviation performers for an airshow over Baltimore Harbor, flyovers at Baltimore Inner Harbor, and the Open House at Martin State Airport.
SAIL250® Maryland Fleet, Flight, and Festival activities will take place at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, Fells Point, North Locust Point, Baltimore Peninsula, and Martin State Airport!

SAIL250® Baltimore Airshow
As a part of Sail250, there will be multiple opportunities to witness flyover airshows from modern and historic military and civilian aircraft on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, from noon to 4 PM, with a practice day on Friday, June 26th. All airshows are FREE, and no tickets are required. Viewing locations include: Baltimore Peninsula, Canton Waterfront Park, and Fort McHenry.

SAIL250® Ships and Tours
A fleet of international and U.S. tall ships, historic character vessels, and modern military ships will begin arriving at Baltimore Harbor on Wednesday, June 24th, to help commemorate America’s 250th anniversary. Come aboard, learn, and marvel at these astonishing ships!
Ships will be docked at the following locations:
Inner Harbor West Wall
Piers 1-6 in the Inner Harbor
Tide Point
Harborview Piers (Locust Point)
Broadway Pier
Fells Point
Baltimore Peninsula

SAIL250® Festivals and Performances
What better way to celebrate than with a festival! During SAIL250® MD, there will be multiple festival locations happening throughout the city. Come out to enjoy live musical performances, interactive exhibits, food and drink, military displays, and more!

Planning to paddle this weekend? Here’s what you need to know:
If you are planning on kayaking this weekend to get a better look at these astonishing boats, there are a few things you need to know beforehand. First, and most importantly, all paddlecraft are considered vessels by the US Coast Guard and are responsible for knowing maritime laws as well as special event rules while on the water.
Designated Safety zones (Inner Harbor and Patapsco River) will be closed from 10 AM-12 PM and 4 PM-6 PM on June 25th-June 28th. Please see the map below for specific locations.
All paddlecraft must maintain a safe distance greater than 100 yards from all visiting ships
